How to Become an Instructor

Our Instructors

Automotive Aftermarket Training instructors are the best in the industry. As such we only hire the best and we pay them well!

AAT instructors:

• Are 1099 sub-contractors.
• Are contracted to teach a specific number of 2 hour seminars in a 12 month time period.
• Are paid on average $100 an hour.
• Are financially incentivized to market their seminar(s).
• Are provided 4 opportunities every year for instructor development and technical training.
• Have the option to purchase an AAT franchise.

AAT provides:

• All curriculum design, instructor manuals, and classroom manuals.
• All handling of scheduling and payment transactions.
• All facility acquisition that we and the instructor feel is appropriate to deliver a quality seminar (to include audio and video equipment).
• Local marketing for a specific course.
• 4 opportunities per year for instructor development and technical training.

 


 

Qualifications

In order to maintain the highest quality instruction possible, we require our instructors to meet the following criteria:

• ASE Master Technician Certified
• ASE L1 Advanced Engine Performance Specialist Certification
• Current or Recent Industry Experience
• Teaching Experience Preferred
• Outgoing Personality
